I fucking love Darren Shan.
Seriously.


A lot of criticism is thrown at this amazing series because it's written kind of simple. That shits me, people. What? You think because you read books with more words in it than the next person, it makes it a better novel? Well no, it doesn't, actually. I seem to wonder when we all forgot that it was the story, characters and fun little surprises and shock a novel that made it better.

Another thing, i've seen this book compared to My Swordhand is Singing a lot. In all admittance, that book is good for what it's worth, but this series surpasses it by FAR.

Yes, it's a book aimed at younger, does that make Lord Loss any less FUCKING RAD? It sure as hell does not. You'll never look at Chess the same way ever again.

Any writer that references Hannibal Lector, Stephen King and Sweeny Todd in it is worth of worship.


Go read something BESIDES Harry Potter for once in your life. Now.
